About This Spot

Walking into Granny’s Kitchen feels like stepping into a cherished family living room — warm, inviting, and grounded in genuine care. Nestled in the heart of Hot Springs, this American restaurant hums with a relaxed, comforting pace where the bustle of daily life gently pauses. The clink of coffee cups, soft chatter, and the familiar hum of a friendly kitchen create a soothing background that immediately settles you in.

Here, the atmosphere is quietly joyful, a place where the servers often feel like part of the family you’ve just reunited with. It’s not just about the food — though that alone carries the unmistakable touch of home — but about the moments shared around the table. From the first sip of a cold, freshly poured lemonade to the delight found in a fluffy biscuit smothered with creamy sausage gravy, every detail is steeped in comforting tradition.

The menu reads like a lovingly crafted snapshot of classic American comfort fare, where generous portions invite slow, unhurried meals. Crispy hash browns with just the right golden balance, each egg cooked to comforting perfection, or tender bites of fried okra and catfish carry the kind of honest flavors that stay with you beyond the plate. So.Damn.Good. The servers are super sweet and you can tell they all either are family or see each other as family. The food is divine, the atmosphere is super cute and homely.. honestly I haven't felt so welcomed at a restaurant in ages. Lemonade was amazing, the fried pickles were SO good, gumbo, cheeseburger- all of it. I would 100% recommend eating here.

First of all, Rebecca was really a sweetie from beginning to end, absolutely great service!! Such a nice time visiting w her. I was a lil worried when we walked in as only 1 table in there but boy did the place fill up fast! Food was delicious from the cheesy hash browns w ham to the biscuits w sausage gravy. My husband makes the best but when we travel, he is always looking for biscuits and gravy, he’s never happy w it. SURPRISED—he loved granny’s sausage gravy and has been in the best mood all day w his craving getting beyond satisfied. Huge portions of hash browns cooked to w the perfect crispness to them. Alert: they are closing their downtown location and moving into Higden Ferry Cafe on higden ferry. So go there and ask for Rebecca for great service, happy attitude, to go along with the best breakfast in town!

We ate here Labor Day Weekend. I ate breakfast food ( served until 2pm ) my wife got the Gumbo. Both dishes were very good. For dessert we got homemade cobbler blackberry and pecan with a scoop of ice cream it was very good. Also their biscuits are homemade. I would gladly go again.

What a great place. The food is fantastic, and the portions are surprisingly large for the price, making it a great value. We tried the tomatoe, basil, garlic soup, the chicken fried steak, Mac and cheese, okra, fries, biscuts, fried pies, etc. All were fantastic. If you are in the historic Hot Springs, go give this place a whirl. Do note that the service is very good, but since everything is fresh made it takes a few. Sit and relax while enjoying the company.

Best diner I've ever been to. These Grannies really know how to cook. Eggs were perfect, hash browns perfect balance of crispy and soft, fluffy biscuit, the fried okra had a perfect crunch and wasn't soggy with grease, the mac-n-cheese was so rich and cheesey. Sweet and wholesome atmosphere.

Rebecca was the truest form of southern hospitality, a genuine sweetheart and made sure we were very well taken care of! The pancakes were perfect, and this comment is coming from someone who is a tough pancake critic! The Granny’s breakfast special croissant sandwich was a hearty and savory dish! Best coffee and friendly atmosphere! An absolute MUST STOP when in Hot Springs! We will be back tomorrow!!
